Are you sick and tired of your flat, sagging, or square shaped behind? If so, you may be a good candidate to undergo a Brazilian butt lift.
What is it?
Utilizing a combination of liposuction and fat grafting (which involves injecting your own fat into certain targeted areas), a Brazilian butt lift helps create a higher, rounder, more youthful appearing buttock region. Not only do you get a shapelier behind, but you also benefit from the liposuction that is performed on your abdomen, lower back and hips to obtain the fat for grafting into your buttocks. This helps contour your waist and abdominal area and helps create a slimmer silhouette. NO implants are used in this procedure and since your own fat is used to augment your buttocks, the risk of your body rejecting it is drastically reduced.
How is it performed?
Liposuction is initially performed to obtain excess fat from your abdomen, hips, and lower back. The fat which is removed is then processed and prepared for grafting. Two small incisions are made in the gluteal creases and fat is injected preferentially into the superior-medial aspect of the buttocks. In this way, the buttocks are shaped to provide a rounder and fuller appearance. All incisions are closed with external sutures and surgical tape is applied over the closed incisions.
What to expect after surgery?
Bruising, fluid retention, and swelling are common after this surgery and you will need to wear your compression garment for approximately 6 weeks. You will be given oral pain medication to help with any soreness that you may feel. For the first 2 weeks, you should avoid sitting for prolonged periods of time. Final results may be obscured until all of the swelling has resolved.
